Whether you're a pro in front of the camera or this is your first time in the limelight, we want you to feel confident and prepared for your video shoot. Check out the tips below to answer common questions and help you feel camera-ready.

If you're laying out your outfit the night before your shoot, here are a few ways to make sure you look your best:

• Avoid intricate patterns that can cause optical illusions on camera.
• Make sure your clothing matches your branding.
• Don’t wear logos that you don’t own.
• Avoid colors that match your skin tone too closely.
• Skip green if we’re using a green screen—you’ll disappear.

Forget the index cards and rehearsed lines. Our interviews are conversational, designed to capture your authentic voice.

• Don’t get lost in the details—audiences remember the simple stuff.
• Let us know if someone else should speak on a topic.
• Don’t assume the viewer knows who you are or what you do.
• Avoid using acronyms—OK? LMK. GTG. BRB. JK.

Don’t worry about the camera adding 10 pounds or 10 years. These tips will help you look like your best self:

• Blend your makeup. Don’t cake it on.
• To reduce shine, use a powder that matches your skin tone.
• Use a touch of blush to avoid looking washed out—just don’t go overboard.
• Don’t wear more makeup than you would to an in-person meeting.
